Dear Parents and families,
President’s Day is this Monday, February 20th. President’s Day is a federal holiday and it is also a state holiday, meaning what? No school! That doesn’t mean your child and you have to sit home this holiday weekend! There are many activities you can do with your child for free!
- Act a short skit to the family
- Browse the stores at a mall
- Chat with your child
- Go for free fishing
- Go hiking
- Jump into the books at a local library
- Make hot chocolate
- Read a book with your child
- Rent a movie
- Spend the day at art museum
- Take a scenic drive
- Visit the aquarium
- Visit the children’s museum
- Write a card to a family member
Bring your child to your local Target on Saturday, February 25 from 9 to 11 AM to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday. Call your Target and let them know that you will be bringing your Deaf child and ask them to provide someone to sign in American Sign Language!

Estimados padres de familia,
El lunes, 20 de febrero es el Día de los Presidentes, es un día festivo federal y estatal. ¿Qué quiere decir esto? ¡Que no hay clases! Esto no quiere decir que Ud. y su hijo van a sentarse en la casa estos días. Hay muchas actividades ¡gratis! que puede hacer con su hijo.
- Preparar y presentar una pequeña dramatización a la familia
- Ir a mirar a las tiendas del centro comercial
- Platicar con su hijo
- Ir a pescar
- Salir a una caminata
- Ir a la biblioteca local para buscar y leer libros
- Preparar chocolate caliente
- Leer un libro con su hijo
- Alquilar una película
- Pasar el día en el museo de arte
- Dar una vuelta en coche a un lugar bonito
- Visitar el acuario
- Visitar el museo para niños
- Escribir una carta a un miembro de la familia
Invite a su hijo a Target para celebrar el cumpleaños del Dr. Seuss El sábado, 25 de febrero, de 9:00 a 11:00 AM. Llame a Target y avísele al personal que va a traer a su hijo Sordo para que tenga una persona que haga señas en el Lenguaje de Señas Americano.
