Kate Kovacs is the Literacy Coach Teacher Specialist. She started working at CSD in 2004 as a High School English Teacher. In her current position, she provides support to teachers with English Language arts resources and trainings. She has served on the CSD Accreditation writing committee and yearbook review team. In addition, she is also the Beginning Teacher Support Assessment (BTSA) coordinator to provide an Induction program for teachers clearing their teaching credentials.
Kate graduated from California State University at Northridge with a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies and California State University at Sacramento with a Master's degree in Special Education. She holds several teaching credentials including Multiple Subjects (K-12), Learning Handicapped, and Deaf Education.
